What to Expect on the CAT4 Pre-A Test?
The CAT4 level Pre-A is given to students in Year 3 / Grade 2, typically aged 7 to 8. It evaluates students’ cognitive abilities and is used as an admissions step as well as throughout the school year to provide insights into a child’s potential, strengths, and areas demanding support.
The CAT4 Test includes four batteries that assess four key cognitive areas:
Non-Verbal Reasoning: Analyzing visual information, identifying patterns, and solving problems without words.

Quantitative Reasoning: Solving math questions and understanding numerical concepts.
